Enquiries sorted before you visit

A quoting visit is an hour on site plus the drive, usually at the end of the day. Out of three visits only one turns into work — the other two had a budget nowhere near it or a project that wasn't ready.

The form asks for the area, access for machinery, the slope, where the waste goes, the timing and a rough budget, with photos. You only drive out for real projects now.

  • Area, access, slope and waste asked upfront
  • Photos of the plot attached to the enquiry
  • Quoting visits grouped into one window

Quote the same evening, signed

The customer is comparing three firms. The one that sends a clear quote the day after the visit wins most often, even without being the cheapest: it has shown it is organised.

The quote is put together on your phone from your usual line items and signed online. The seven-day chaser goes out automatically, without you having to ask for anything.

A real example

Visit on the Thursday at 6pm, quote sent at 8, signed on the Saturday with the deposit. The job is booked for the second week of May.

The season planned in weeks

In the busy months your schedule is counted in weeks of work. The risk is twofold: taking on more than you can do, and losing days to the rain with nowhere to put the customers.

Jobs are booked in days or whole weeks, with buffer slots for weather delays. Moving one tells the customers affected automatically, and you can see how full you are two months out.

  • Buffer slots for weather delays
  • A view of the next eight weeks

Finished jobs sell the next ones

One good garden in a street brings two neighbours. The photos simply have to be somewhere other than your phone, and tied to the town.

Every finished job feeds the website and the Google listing, with the type of work and the town. The review request goes out two hours after the appointment, for example after the end-of-job visit. Regular maintenance is offered straight after.

“I price the evening of the visit. Since then I win jobs I used to lose by answering too late.”

Common questions

You don't have to show any. The sorting is done by the questions in the enquiry instead: area, access, timing, rough budget. That's enough to avoid pointless visits.
