Traxo vs Fresha: fees, new clients and your site
Fresha is cheaper to start and brings clients through its marketplace, at a fee on their first booking where your country charges one; Traxo costs more a month, brings no one, and takes nothing per booking.
Fresha is salon software with a consumer marketplace: a low subscription, card fees, paid add-ons, and a one-time fee on clients who find you through the marketplace. Fresha sets that last line country by country on its pricing page, so the grid below gives both lists we read, and you should read your own.

Who Fresha is right for
- You want new clients and are happy to pay for the ones that arrive. Fresha's marketplace puts you where people already book; Traxo has no marketplace.
- You want the lowest monthly price for a booking diary. €14.95 for one person is well below Traxo's €40.
Who Traxo is right for
- Your diary is full of regulars. A new-client fee on someone who already followed you, but found you in the app first, is a fee on a client who was already yours.
- You want a website that is the product, not an add-on. Website, booking, online payment (in full or as a deposit) and the day-before reminder come together, from €40 a month excl. VAT.
- You want to know the bill in advance. 3% on what you take online, and no line that changes by country.
What Traxo doesn't do
- No marketplace and no consumer app: Traxo brings you no new clients on its own.
- No card terminal and no point of sale: what you take in the salon stays on your own machine.
- No gift cards on Starter: they are in the Pro plan.
What the people who use it say
If a new client accidentally double books, Fresha charges a 20% fee on the initial total, not the actual service provided. When you contact support to correct the client's mistake, they refuse to refund the difference.

Does Fresha charge a commission in Ireland?
On new clients from its marketplace, it depends on the price list Fresha serves your country: the euro list we read on 25 September 2026 reads 'Free' for that line, and Fresha sets the rate and the minimum country by country. Is Traxo cheaper than Fresha?
On the subscription, no: Fresha starts at €14.95 a month for one person, Traxo at €40 excl. VAT billed yearly. The gap narrows once you add Fresha's website add-on, texts and, where it applies, the new-client fee. Compare line by line with our pricing.
Can I use Fresha without the marketplace?
Fresha's own rules say that unlisting from the marketplace turns off all online booking through Fresha. If you want online booking without a marketplace, you need a booking page of your own.
Does Traxo bring me clients like Fresha does?
No. Traxo is your website and your diary, not a marketplace: clients come from Google, your business profile, social media and word of mouth.
