Bricklayer website with quotes and deposits

Long jobs that fill the diary months ahead.

A wall, a slab, an extension: your jobs run for weeks and are decided months beforehand. The problem isn't filling tomorrow, it's avoiding a gap in September.

In short

Enquiries qualified before the visit — area, access, timescale —, quoting visits grouped together, a quote signed online with a deposit, stage payments, a diary you can see weeks ahead, and a loyalty programme that brings clients back for the next project.

01

The diary fills by the week

A bricklayer doesn't sell hour-long appointments: you sell weeks on site. What costs money isn't an empty slot, it's a dead week between two jobs because a quote wasn't signed in time.

Traxo thinks in blocks: days and weeks booked out, jobs set months ahead, quoting visits grouped at the end of the day so they don't break up a morning of shuttering. You can see two months of work ahead, not two days.

  • Jobs blocked out in whole days or whole weeks
  • Quoting visits grouped into one dedicated window
  • A view of the next eight weeks' workload
02

Enquiries sorted before you go

Driving out to price a job is half a day gone when the project isn't ready or the budget is nowhere near. And while you are driving, the phone rings unanswered.

The online enquiry asks the questions that sort them: area, access for the machine, planning permission, expected timescale, rough budget. The serious projects arrive with their photos; the rest never get as far as booking.

Common mistake

Taking every quoting visit so as not to miss anything. At three visits a week with no deposit at the end of them, that is a day of production lost every week.

03

Signed, then paid by stages

On a long job, cash flow is all about deposits. Traxo builds the quote from your usual line items, has it signed online, and takes the deposit that holds the period in your schedule.

After that, the stage invoices go out at the points you have set — foundations, walls, finishing — with an automatic chaser if one runs late. You are no longer funding your customers' materials.

  • A 30% deposit taken on signing
  • Stage invoices at each phase of the job
  • Automatic chasers on overdue invoices
04

Finished jobs sell the next one

Nobody hands over an extension because the quote was cheaper: they hand it to the person whose work they have seen. Your before-and-after photos, sorted by type of job and by town, are worth more than any sales pitch.

The review request goes out two hours after the appointment, for example after the end-of-job visit. It carries the link to your Google listing. A bricklayer with twenty detailed reviews and photos of their work no longer has to bid on price.

“I can see my diary through to October. It is the first time I have been able to turn a job down without wondering whether there would be work after it.”

Common questions

You can show no prices at all, or nothing more than a “from” figure. The sorting then happens through the enquiry questions: area, access, timescale, rough budget.
